Amokachi Returns to Everton

Ex-Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi was back at his former stomping ground at Everton, as he joined 38,133 spectators at Goodison Park to watch The Toffees take on Bournemouth in the Premier League. The former bulldozing attacker was introduced to the Toffees faithful and received a standing ovation before the game started at 1500 hours. Amokachi monitored Jordon Ibe, who put in a full shift against Everton, but would have been disappointed that another target, Everton winger Ademola Lookman didn’t come off the bench. This is Amokachi’s second publicized visit to England in the last two months as he was part of the Super Eagles squad at the inaugural Star Sixes indoor football competition. The 1994 World Cup star was shown the facilities at Everton’s Training Ground, Finch Farm, a day before Ronald Koeman’s troops faced the Cherries.
